This years exploit development competition levels are open to the public, however only entrants at RUXCON 2004 had the opportunity of winning prizes. Submissions were judged by a selection of staff on the day. Judging was based on various factors, from providing a description of the bug to writing exploit code.
There are 7 levels in total, 1 being a Linux ELF binary requiring reverse engineering and debugging skills. If you were unable to attend the conference this year, you're still welcome to attempt the levels at your own time to test your skills in exploit development, and hopefully in the process learn something new.
If we believe next year there will be more interest in the exploit competition by RUXCON attendees, more challenging levels will be prepared for the 2005 conference. Therefore, if you have feedback or suggestions, please e-mail us at |
